These images were taken in 2021 during the pandemic – niced empty streets for some reason! I have not managed to cover the whole of Brighton and Hove but there are almost 500 images in this year’s gallery. When you look back across the galleries it is possible to see the some garaffiti is still there from earlier although most has been painted over. The speed with which new work appears can be startling, and I have often wondered what it must feel like to be an artist when someone has either painted over your work or crudely tagged it. It was a surprise that almost none of the graffiti referred to the pandemic.
