Brighton Graffiti and Street Art 2025

The 2025 gallery is slightly different from earlier years in that I have decided to include more formal street art, including, for example, where retailers or pubs have painted their shop front.

This gallery represents the most comprehensive collection of graffiti and street art to be found in Brighton and Hove. If you are aware of any that I have missed, do contact me using the contact page. Also for the first time, I have included the street or road as part of the image file number. If you are keen to see the graffiti and street art, check the full file name.

Although my images can be broken into four groups, on the site I make no such distinctions. I am aware that tagging is often the precursor (and learning ground) for future street and graffiti artists, but I have not particulary photographed many ‘simple’ tags as I don’t see much artistic merit in most of them. I have included a few where collectively they are visually interesting, and my interest is really in what I find visually interesting!

The four groups of images are broadly:

  • Illegal graffiti
  • Legal graffiti and street art
  • Shop fronts including coffee and other food outlets and pubs
  • Art that is also advertising

Noteable this year is, as you will see, that the graffiti in the Level Skateboard Park is very tired and worn. Also of note is that I found only two pieces of political graffiti amongst the 1,200 images.

As there are so many images, they will have to be divided into five separate galleries. There has been a slight glitch in my uploading some the images – I hope to solve this soon!
